Yunnan Province ranks first in the number of organic product certification certificates nationwide

As of the end of December 2022, Yunnan Province has obtained 2409 organic product certification certificates, and its national ranking has risen from 2nd in the previous year to 1st, a net increase of 1122 certificates compared to the previous year, with a growth rate of 60.58%; 1717 certified organizations have risen from second place to first place.

In order to strengthen the construction of the consumption environment, the Yunnan Provincial Administration for Market Regulation has issued a notice on conducting supervision and spot checks on the effectiveness of provincial-level organic certification product certification in 2022, conducting on-site inspections of certified organizations and sampling and inspection of organic certification products, with organic tea as the focus of supervision and spot checks. For five consecutive years, organic product supervision and spot checks have been carried out, with over 500 batches of organic products sampled and inspected. The organic product qualification rate has remained around 95%, ensuring the social credibility of organic product certification. According to the requirements of the State Administration for Market Regulation, market supervision departments at all levels in the province are deployed to carry out the "Organic Product Certification Propaganda Week" activity in combination with actual conditions, with a focus on the "One County, One Industry" demonstration counties and characteristic counties in Yunnan Province in 2022. Promote and popularize knowledge of organic products, interpret the organic product certification system, and actively promote the significance of obtaining organic product certification, especially in improving the quality and efficiency of industrial development in the creation of "one county, one industry" demonstration counties. To comprehensively showcase the development of the organic industry and the implementation of green product certification through popular forms such as lectures on organic and green product knowledge, on-site publicity and promotion.
